The entrance to a home is a critical juncture, it needs to be inviting but keep the elements out and provide shelter while we open the door. It is often referred to as the handshake of a house.

To that end, when our clients were looking to replace their front door, we saw an opportunity to improve the entrance experience as well as the performance of the door. We provided our client with a sketch of what we were thinking and they loved it.

The new door and sidelights offer better air sealing and weather protection than the original door which had a big crack in the panels). The proposed portico offers shelter while you wait at the door or for your packages, and the new oil rubbed lantern offers warm welcoming light.

Our client has opted to phase the work to spread the cost out which is a common strategy we employ in order to meet peoples budgets.
